Faced with the beginning of the new school year, the mayor of Yauco Ángel Luis ‘Luigi’ Torres Ortiz, officially announced Sunday that today Monday July 30, “we will be investing the quantity of $225,000 in 4,500 Yauco students.”
“This represents, without any doubt, a great return to classes for our beloved Yauco children. Our municipal administration is extremely committed to supporting out families,” said the mayor in a press release
“Our principal objective is that the return to classes is unforgettable and above all, successful,” said the mayor.
“Tomorrow Monday and Tuesday we will be giving out backpacks with school supplies to students of schools and high schools in our beloved Municipality of Yauco, beginning at 8:00 in the morning in the installations of the Raúl ‘Pipote’ Oliveras Coliseum… Those attending should present their last report card and if they age going into Kindergarten evidence of enrollment,” he said.
On Tuesday the students from Kindergarten through the fourth year of highschool from the rural areas, “will receive vouchers for the purchase of uniforms and schools supplies in different locales according to their residence: Escuela Lena M.
