Proyecto Nacer is launching a series of six virtual workshops designed to promote and disseminate the development of entrepreneurship in families in Puerto Rico through its ComUnidad Platform.

The workshops seek to motivate the audience to enroll in formal entrepreneurship courses that increase income, improve self-management skills, and promote family economic freedom.

In the series of educational capsules, crucial topics for the development of entrepreneurship and employability in Puerto Rico will be addressed. They include practical strategies for raising funds through social networks, creating impactful stories for motivating donors, and training mother entrepreneurs to sell products online using e-commerce platforms. In addition, microbusinesses will be taught how to generate and strengthen their brand on social networks.

“Our goal is to empower Puerto Rican families, providing them with the necessary tools so they can self-manage, reduce economic stress, and improve their quality of life through entrepreneurship and continuing education,” Proyecto Nacer CEO Anayra Túa said.

The workshops will also train young people to prepare for job interviews, highlighting the importance of presentation and nonverbal language. Soft skills essential for career success will be developed, and useful do-it-yourself and home maintenance practices will be included, promoting self-management and practical skills in the community.

Renowned professionals will teach the workshops in their respective fields: José Rosario from Gringo FPV; Nathasha Bonet, entrepreneur and content creator; Alberto Rigau, businessman and graphic designer; Ilia Rodríguez Torres, president of the Society for Human Resource Management; and Amanda Irrizarri, a student who graduated from Habitat for Humanity. All workshops will be held virtually starting on Aug. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. until Aug. 21. Two capsules per day will be offered through Google Meet. Registration for the workshops can be done through the link: https://forms.gle/irkkYhnHa5dcUcGe8, sending an email to community@proyectonacer.com or calling (787) 730-2575 or (787) 966-4071.

“These workshops not only provide practical and valuable knowledge for entrepreneurship and self-management, but also foster a culture of economic independence and personal development in our communities,” Túa said. “We believe that by empowering families with these tools, we are investing in a more solid and self-sufficient economy for Puerto Rico.”

For 24 years, Project Nacer has shaped and perfected a family incubator model in which three generations of families participate, including teenage parents, their children, and grandparents, with the goal of the young parents learning to take responsibility for their offspring while they prepare to face life.
