The Certified Public Accountants Association (CCPA by its initials in Spanish) will hold a forum for women titled “Toward Sustainable Financial Equality” this Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at its headquarters in Hato Rey.

“Historically, women have experienced great challenges,” CCPA President Cynthia Rijo Sánchez said. “In this forum, we seek to make visible the impact of women in the accounting profession and their role in building sustainable financial equality.”

Through various conferences and panels, the challenges and opportunities faced by CPAs in the professional field will be addressed, as well as strategies to strengthen their leadership and influence in the financial and business sector, she added.

The event will feature guest speakers who in one way or another have left a legacy for the profession in Puerto Rico, including CPA Doris Barroso Vicens; CPA Agnes B. Suárez Méndez, a former president of the CCPA; CPA and attorney Darissa Hernández Egúrbida; Frances Ríos Sánchez, founder & CEO of MONI Wealth; and former judge Keila M. Díaz.
