140 National Guardsmen depart to Middle East



Soldiers of the 482nd Chemical Company will play a crucial role in supporting joint operations with allied forces in Middle East.

The Puerto Rico National Guard (PRNG) announced the departure of more than 140 soldiers from the 482nd Chemical Company to the Middle East. The soldiers will carry out an essential federal support mission.


The farewell event, held on Sunday, was attended by the Adjutant General of Puerto Rico, Major General Miguel A. Méndez, who highlighted the soldiers’ commitment and professionalism.


“Our soldiers are prepared to overcome the challenges that await them with courage and dedication. I know that they will represent Puerto Rico with honor and successfully complete their mission,” said General Méndez during the event


This mission is part of the global efforts in which the PRNG collaborates, contributing to international stability and security. The soldiers of the 482nd Chemical Company will play a crucial role in supporting joint operations with allied forces.
